Plant Description
Fay McDonald Waterlily is a dazzling specimen, an exciting Intersubgeneric waterlily with beautiful color variations, from cool blue tones to purple jewel tones with amber centers and lighter petal base from award winning hybridizer, Mike Giles. Pads on the Fay McDonald Waterlily are bronze and mature to green. Fay McDonald Waterlily is a tremendous bloomer with compact habitat. The blooms are held regally above the surface of the water. The blooms on an established Fay McDonald Waterlily are quite large (6 – 9 inches across), while the plant spread is medium in size, with Marliac-Odorata root type. An exceptional waterlily for your pond!
Planting Instructions
Plant in a large (2 – 7 gallon or larger) container using heavy loam soil, place in full sun 1 – 2 feet beneath the surface of the water. Plant as a hardy waterlily, fertilize during the growing/blooming months with Waterlily World Tabs + Humates or Landon Granular Fertilizer.
